WidgetWord works without an account, analytics, or advertising. This page explains what stays on your device, what Apple handles, and what happens if you contact us or visit this website.
There is no account
Nothing to sign up for or log into. The app does not ask for your name or email address.
What is stored, and where
WidgetWord stores the following information on your device:
- your learning and translation language preferences;
- the level you chose;
- your preferred widget word-change interval and appearance;
- how far you have moved through the words;
- whether you completed the first-launch screens; and
- whether you have already left an optional tip.
Your language preferences, level, widget interval, and tip acknowledgement can also be mirrored to your Apple Account through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, if iCloud is available. This lets those choices follow you to another device. Have Fun LLC does not operate that storage or receive its contents.
What the app does not do
- No analytics SDK or custom usage analytics.
- No advertising or tracking across apps or websites.
- No third-party SDKs in the app.
- No WidgetWord account or app server operated by Have Fun LLC.
- Reading a word does not contact a Have Fun LLC server.
- Pronunciation uses the speech synthesizer built into your device; the app does not record your voice.
Purchases
Every feature is free. If you choose to leave a one-time tip, Apple processes that in-app purchase. Have Fun LLC does not receive your payment card details. The app saves a tip acknowledgement so it stops showing the request for support.
Website and support email
Our website is delivered by hosting providers, which may process ordinary request data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the pages. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can reply. Please do not include passwords or payment card details.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Deleting WidgetWord removes its locally stored information from that device. Information mirrored through iCloud is controlled through your Apple Account and iCloud settings; Have Fun LLC cannot access or delete that copy. Apple handles purchase records under its own policies. You can contact us about a support email you previously sent.
There is no WidgetWord account to delete. For privacy questions about this website or your support correspondence, contact us at the address below.
Children
WidgetWord does not ask children or adults to create an account or provide personal information in the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revision date at the top of this page will change as well.
